Porcellio laevis 'Dair Cow' Isopods In Canada

Physical Appearance: Porcellio laevis "Dairy Cow" is characterized by its distinct black and white spots on its exoskeleton, mimicking the appearance of dairy cows. Their smooth and oval-shaped bodies typically measure around 8 to 12 mm in length, making them relatively small but visually striking isopods.

Habitat and Behavior: These isopods thrive in various environments, such as leaf litter, logs, and under stones. They prefer terrariums with moderate humidity levels and are primarily active during the night. As detritivores, Porcellio laevis "Dairy Cow" plays a crucial role in breaking down organic matter, contributing to nutrient cycling and enriching the soil in their habitat.

Starter culture

All Cultures are started with 10-15 isopods of mixed life stages. ( May be mostly babies)
