Physical Appearance: Haplophthalmus danicus typically displays a dark brown or blackish exoskeleton, which is elongated and flattened in shape. They have two distinct eyes, giving them a unique appearance among other isopod species. These woodlice typically measure around 5 to 8 mm in length, making them relatively small but captivating inhabitants of their habitat.

Habitat and Behavior: These isopods are well-adapted to live in various environments, such as leaf litter, decaying wood, and soil, where they seek shelter and moisture. They are primarily active during the night, foraging for decaying organic matter and detritus.
