This striking annual quickly made it to the top of our favourites list with its beautiful abundance of colours. Foliage will start with streaks of burgundy surrounded by a deep green, growing complimenting coloured leaves in maroon, gold and yellow as the plant grows to maturity. A known species in the Monticello Gardens, circa 1806. Easy to grow! Great for borders and garden edges. Known as Tricolour Amaranth, Summer Poinsettia or Fountain Plant is known as an edible crop in some parts of the world. Grow in well-drained soil and plant in a sunny to full sun area. Water well, but do not let the roots soak. Suitable for beds and containers. Once established, fairly drought tolerant.
