A smallish, mildly clustering Aloe with very broad, thin, soft, undulate, pale leaves and an upright, sparsely branching inflorescence with red flowers. This variety is know only from a single locality in southern central Madagascar, where it grows on limestone around 350 m. In cultivation it adapts readily to many warm temperate and topical climates.
