"Sunset" Isopods are one of the most spectacular tropical isopods available, admired for their warm sunset-inspired hues of brilliant orange, golden yellow, and rich amber. was initially distributed as Cubaris sp. "Sunset Queen". Native to Thailand, this undescribed Troglodillo species features a broad, flattened body with a heavily armored appearance that sets it apart from more commonly kept isopods. Troglodillo sp. "Sunset" thrives in a warm, humid tropical enclosure with excellent ventilation, deep organic substrate, abundant hardwood leaf litter, decomposing white rotten wood, sphagnum moss, and numerous cork bark hides. They appreciate consistently high humidity while still benefiting from a well-maintained moisture gradient that prevents stagnant conditions. A varied diet of decaying organic matter, calcium-rich foods, vegetables, and occasional protein supplements supports healthy molts and steady colony growth.
